Socialism - Rewarding the Lazy

The Australian budget came down last night and it read as a "we will start doing stuff when you re-elect us" document.

The biggest part of the budget seemed to be aimed at those people who have or want to work for a living. Those retirees who worked and saved and get some Super have been punished with faster deductions from the government contributions.

People who work hard will be taxed more and restaurants will be harder to find on weekends and their margins were just killed by higher weekend wage requirements.

Businesses will be very hesitant about hiring women because they will have to pay a huge amount out when they get pregnant. An apparent loophole means they can go out on the 18 week break and not come back after pocketing that much salary.

Those not working, or slacking off, or pretending to be sick, or who come in on boats, or have a huge bunch of children are being rewarded.

The message from socialist Labor is: "if you don't work and contribute nothing to the country we will support you and give you lots of extra money. If however you work hard, save and try to reduce your burden on society you will be punished."
