New Judges and Court System Needed

Watching a program on gang violence and hoons crashing cars the message was quite clear. The court system has failed. Judges are refusing to hand down any sentences so the crime continues. In a recent accident all participants were described as having a long history with the police.

In plainer English this means that the police had grabbed them a number of times for offenses, they had easily used up all their points but were still out driving and causing problems. After each court appearance they were simply back out on the streets to drive again.

It doesn't matter how many times the issue is exposed by some current affairs show on TV, the same things keep happening over, and over, and over again. Somehow Australians need to take back the legal system, get rid of all of the weak, corrupt and liberal judges and start punishing criminals and those that break the laws.

In our system the judges are subject to no oversight so they can do what they want. What the government needs to do is implement no argument minimum sentencing laws and if a judge gives too many at the minimum level they should be subject to review and replaced or removed.

Chances that this is going to happen? About zero.
