"I'm German, I'm German, I'm German" [spoken in German]
This is how is all started, with some crazy women, no passport and only speaking German. It ended up with the crazy women being put into detention only to be found out later that she held dual citizenship. Then as usual our weak willed government paid her a large sum of money. Given the situation she should have just been sent back to Germany to let them deal with her.
Sometime later she is detained in Jordan, after being refused entry to a couple of others, and will only speak German to Australian representatives. Her equally wacko sister is now declaring that she is not being helped enough. That last word sums it up nicely, enough. Let her be looked after by her favourite and native country, Germany. Why is it that our stupid officials are even bothering with this case.
Its not like she is a Dokic who can at least play some entertaining tennis for which some starry eyed citizens instantly forgive all of her slights against us. This is a crazy German woman who wants nothing to do with us?
This case just reinforces the strange trend to 'help' everyone, even when they don't want it or welcome it. It is the prevalent Big Brother attitudes that have infected our politicians, our government departments and the minds of decision makers who now believe that they know best, not the individuals.
Imagine what the outcry from her sister would have been if she had been stopped from leaving the country.
Then there is the strange case of the two lads who were caught driving so far over the speed limit that the usual rules could not be applied and they are still allowed to drive. Instead of the sensible application of the lesser rules, i.e. no driving these are ignored until there is a trial.
Our legal system is broken and the lawyers have way too much power.
